Angela Davenport

Registered Nurse & Director of Nursing, ABI Rehabilitation

Angela Davenport has worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She now works in the Director of Nursing position at ABI Rehabilitation, previously serving as Charge Nurse of a busy neurology and neurosurgical ward. Angela received her clinical doctorate (DHSc) through AUT University in 2020, which explored how rehabilitation nurses documented their contribution. This integrated her interest in advancing the specialty practice of rehabilitation nurses.

Angela serves as Vice President for the Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association (ARNA) and is a board member for Healthcare Academy NZ. She is co-Director of the NZ Neuro Nurses Symposia and co-Facilitator of the Asia/Pacific Critical Realism Community of Practice.
