Jonathan Armstrong

Occupational Therapist & Director of Allied Health, ABI Rehabilitation
Jonathan Armstrong is an occupational therapist with extensive experience working in a range of neurological rehabilitation settings.  Most recently he has led rehabilitation services within Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau as Clinical Director for Allied Health and is now the Director of Allied Health for ABI Rehabilitation. 

Jonathan works alongside several stakeholders on national collaboratives that aim to improve the identification, assessment, and recovery journey of those with traumatic brain injury. He is an international surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), assisting rehabilitation providers to improve the quality of services and meet internationally recognised standards. 

​He completed his doctoral studies in 2023 investigating how people reintegrate into their communities following acquired brain injury.
