ABI
provides inpatient adult TBI rehabilitation, adult and paediatric community TBI and related trauma rehabilitation from hubs in Auckland and Wellington.  ABI provides in-reach services to public hospitals throughout a person’s acute care.  As soon as the person is medically stable, they can then be transferred to one of the intensive inpatient services.  Our approach includes a multi-disciplinary model which includes: the client, whānau, Rehabilitation Medicine Physicians, Brain Injury Nurse Specialists and a wide range of Clinicians experienced in neuro and trauma rehabilitation.

ABI holds international accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  ABI is driven to innovate, lead, develop and benchmark rehabilitation services in New Zealand. ABI has a strong connection to the Major Trauma Network at Expert Advisory Group level and is currently involved in four trauma rehabilitation collaboratives across ADHB (ACH and Starship), Counties Manukau and Southern DHBs.
